No – all tools and equipment are provided during the courses. In some circumstances candidates may bring their own test equipment if they so desire, but please check beforehand.

All our course are full time. Courses start at 8.30am and usually finish at around 4.00pm. You will be advised on your first day at the centre if there are any changes to these times. The centre is open from 8.00am and there is tea & coffee awaiting.

To secure a place on all courses, a deposit needs to be paid when booking. Payment of the remaining balance must to be made 21 days before the start date of the course. Please see our terms and conditions for full details.

  • We provide light refreshments, including tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits.
  • Vending machines are also available at some centres.
  • Please feel free to bring your lunch. We have a student fridge and microwave in the canteen.
  • We also have local supermarkets close to all centres.

Candidates must bring some form of photo id such as a driving licence or passport.

Please check individual course requirements with regards to any pre-requisites that may required prior to booking on or attending the course, our customer team will be able to advise you so please call or email us.

We provide all the necessary books and normative documents on the courses. Some courses include a training manual within the price. Some courses require the candidate to purchase a training manual prior to attending in order to do pre-course reading. Please refer to individual courses for further details. Candidates are also able to purchase certain training manuals directly from TECA

Your Personal Learning Record (PLR) is a central record of all QCF qualifications undertaken by you which can be viewed by yourself and certain organisations.

Your Unique Learner Number (ULN) is the individual reference number used to create your PLR.

The information you supply will be used by the Skills Funding Agency, an Executive Agency of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, to issue you with a Unique Learner Number (ULN), and to create your Personal Learning Record.

You can opt out by following the information in the factsheet or notifying TECA when you book on the course or are at the centre.

You will have full access to the TECA members area on the web site, this will have all the back up information from any courses you have taken, along with our Forums, Resource directory and download area.

You will also have direct access to your tutor though the members portal.
